Blind Veterans UK Carol Concert

Year 3 choirboys impress at charity concert!

Alumni News
On Tuesday 5th December our Year 3 choirboys sang at a very special charity concert. The event was the Blind Veterans UK carol concert, held in the beautiful St Marylebone Parish Church. The concert also featured performances from Wetherby Preparatory School choir, and the North London Military Wives Choir interspersed with Christmas readings by June Brown MBE and Brian Blessed OBE. Our boys listened to moving stories from some of the veterans themselves and then in the latter part of the concert they performed John Rutter’s Christmas Lullaby. Our choir sang beautifully and with great confidence, given that they were performing in a completely new environment, and it is a credit to the boys that so many compliments were given on their singing from members of the audience. It was a special and memorable evening and it was a privilege to participate in the concert and to support such a deserving charity. The event raised over £16,000 for Blind Veterans UK.
