Jane remembers the day well. These five lucky boys had been hand selected by the current Headmistress, Mrs Russell, and were in a state of high excitement during the car journey to the studio. They were to feature alongside two little girls who were professional child models and around a year older than the boys.

The boys, in their excitement, were quite naughty as Jane remembers but were nonetheless treated to comics and ice cream in the hope that they would stay entertained long enough to get these adorable shots. This was greeted with much irritation from the girls who were getting increasingly more and more cross at having not been given anything at all! Jane remembers how ‘a war almost broke out’ in the studio that day.

Do you recognise any of these young faces from your school days? Or were you one of the excited little boys that day? Jane believes the boys were called Luke, Jamie, Richard, Christen and Tom. We would love to hear from you if you have any information to add to this story. Perhaps we could try to recreate these images at the next alumni reunion?
